I found this to be the situation with both a Core Duo iMac and a PowerBook G4, though admittedly it could be related to my setup-sure. My wireless Mighty Mouse temporarily “forgets” the Tracking setting, moving very, very slowly for ten seconds or so when the keyboard is first recognized, and every time it is turned on after being turned off. Answering affirmative runs the Bluetooth Setup Assistant. ![]() A dialog box then appears in OS X notifying you of a new Bluetooth device and asking you if you want to set it up. Once you put the batteries in and press the power button on the Apple Wireless Keyboard, the power indicator-invisible until pressing the power switch-lights green for a few seconds before vanishing.
